Good Morning,

And what a glorious morning it is, and yes, I do realize that it is Monday, and for most of us its time to get back into the harness and help to pull this heavy wagon we call civilization. If you’re experiencing a case of the Monday morning blues, consider yourself blessed, because for those like me, the blues started on Sunday. Yes people! Sunday is actually the first working day in my week and I thank you for the sympathetic gasps and sarcastic grins of pleasure at my plight. But seriously, we are all still alive and March is here, which means Winter begins to lose its frightful grip, and I see t-shirts and flip-flops on the horizon.

At least we should all be spiritually filled this morning, because there was an absolute feast laid out for us this weekend at Temple Beth El’s 55th Anniversary Services. And I don’t know about you but I gorged myself on the wonderful bread of life, and got up from my seat at the table licking my fingers. The ministering was superb and dynamic, and if your spiritual battery needed any recharging, Beth El was that electrical outlet this weekend. Let’s not let it end there, however, let’s view ourselves as walking jumper cables, our sole purpose today should be to help to revive those who may be stranded at the side of the road that’s called Narrow. Be encouragement to somebody today who you know may need some spiritual juice to continue their journey to the finish line. Remember, as a speaker remarked this weekend, its not when you joined the race, its if you labor to the end.

I think this speaks volumes about the kind of Creator we serve. He does not discriminate against those who turn to Him later on their lives, and for those who turn to Him early in their lives there is no special fringe benefit. Everybody gets the same reward as laborers in the vineyard as long as our efforts are genuine, and not carried out for our own vanity’s sake.

The parking lot at my office building has been designated by the town as a gathering place for day laborers. I was surprised to see, when I drove in this morning, at least triple the amount of men that are usually congregated there. And my mind began to ponder what it means to be a day laborer. Day laborers have no benefits other than what they get paid for that day they worked. There is no guarantee of another job the following day, there are no medical benefits, there certainly is no pension plan. If, at somebody’s house, they built a beautiful deck, or painted  a house with keen attention to detail, or performed immaculate landscaping, the only reward they reap is the money in that envelope at sunset. When that person who owns the property is complimented on its beauty, the day laborer, who is long gone, is not recognized for his efforts.

Are you a day laborer in the work of Yahweh? Is this just a Sabbath endeavor for you? Are you thinking that the pension plan set up for the members of the Kingdom of Yahweh applies to you when you’re not even an actual employee. Yahweh says in the scripture that there will be those who will say that they carried out great works in His name, and He will say to those individuals - I never knew you. Why do you want to waste your spiritual existence being a day laborer when there is an open call for actual employees. And it does not matter at all when you join the company, the same benefits are extended to everybody. Medical benefits that blow H.I.P out of the water, and a pension plan that lasts for an eternity. These positions are only open to serious motivated individuals who want to live circumspectly before an awesome, awesome King. Experience is not a necessity. Will train. Everybody, everybody - need apply!

John 6:27 (New King James Version)

Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because Yahweh the Father has set His seal on Him.

p.s. I am absolutely overwhelmed with the support of this daily blog. I thank you all for your encouraging words and most of all for your insatiable hunger for the Word of Yahweh, the gasoline which fuels the motor that is “Living Well”. If you have a friend you would like to add to this mailing list, please send an email and I promise to add them. If you would like to be removed from this mailing list, send an email and I promise its futile.
